This set up worked for Vino at London 2012, although you have to wonder if he won in spite of the bike!

They have the Sagan weapon to score wins. The bikes are excellent regardless.

Garmin Sharp Garmin Sharp
Garmin Sharp is using a Cervelo R5/ S5 frames, Mavic Cosmic Carbone Ultimate wheels, Dura-Ace Di2 components and of course, Garmin Vector pedals.

Cervelo make about the best frames in the peloton, so these riders have a little advantage.

The 2013-2014 World Champion is riding with this team in 2014. The Merida Reacto scores well in aero testing, so that will be an advantage to the riders.

Pinerello decided to concentrate sponsorship on Team Sky for 2014, so Canyon stepped in.

OGE is using a Scott Foil HMX frame, Shimano C50 Tubular wheels and Dura-Ace Di2 components.

They won the team time trial in the 2014 Tour de France on the Scott TT bikes, so we know Scott can produce an aero bike. The foils are fantastic too.

Team Sky Team Sky
Team Sky is using a Pinerello Dogma 65.1 Think2 frame, Shimano C50 Tubular wheels, Dura-Ace Di2 components, Rapha clothing and Kask helmets.

As Tour de France winners in 2012 and 2013, Sky will hope to show again that an aero road frame isn't required if you have the motor. The TT bikes used by SKY have some clever trip wires on the down tube to lower drag.

Alberto Contador is showing fine early season form in 2014, so it bodes well for Specialized. Although it would be better if they got him on a Venge, if the aero benefits over the Tarmac are to be believed!
